With Christmas 23 days away, and with our wallets feeling a little heavier from the little thing we call call Christmas bonus, we’re all in a good mood to go out, spend, and have us some December debauchery. Here’s where you can do just that this weekend.

A time to spend
Get your Christmas shopping into high gear over at the Megatrade Hall 3 at SM Megamall where Super Brands Super Sale 3 happens. From December 2 to 4, the event offers you the chance to snag amazing items from popular brands including Adidas, Plains and Prints, Crocs, Candie’s and a lot more! With huge discounts of up to 70% and a selection that’s nothing short of epic, it’s going to be hard not to come out with bags packed with goodies. Entrance to the sale is only 20 pesos, with the proceeds going to Project Brave Kids and The Orange Project. See? Not only are you helping your wallet lose a little weight, you’re also contributing to a good cause!

Something for your sweet tooth
Ever wondered what it would be like to step into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory? Well, here’s the closest you can get to that. Candy Corner, in partnership with Wonka, presents the Wonka Imaginarium, a four-day exhibit on all things Wonka, that runs from December 1 to 4. Happening at the Grand Atrium in Shangri-la Plaza, Mandaluyong, the event is perfect for kids and the kids at heart, as it showcases “magical forests,” “tunnels of lost wishes” and “dreams that make the happiest of all candies.” Sounds far out? That’s Wonka for you. Witness for yourself, and let the wonderful world of Wonka enchant you.

Hey look, it’s David Beckham!
On December 3, a once-in-a-lifetime football exhibition happens as our very own Azkals face off with the LA Galaxy. If you don’t know what an “LA Galaxy” is, well,  the only thing you really need to know is that David Beckham, one of the most popular football players ever, is a part of it. Show your support for the Azkals and head on over to the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium at the Rizal memorial Sports Complex in Manila on Saturday, 730 PM. Tickets are at P15,965, P12,875, P9,270, P7,210, P5,150, and P2,060.For tickets and inquiries, contact TicketWorld at 891-9999.

Go Boho
BohoFest kicks off this weekend, December 3 and 4 at the Alabang Country Club. What’s a BohoFest you ask? Essentially, it’s a tiangge, only more artsy (Boho is short for bohemian). The event will host not only merchants peddling unique wares, but also artists across different mediums. It’s a celebration of fashion, art, music, design, film, dance and more, and will feature the Merchants of Boho (MoB) craft and Boho street performers, talents and artists.Bohofest is organized by IdeaBrewers, Inc. and also happens on weekends of December 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18, 2011 at the Recreational Park of Alabang Country Club. Directed by Dulaang UP Artistic Director Alexander Cortez, the production marks only the third time since the 1980s that Rizal’s novel will be staged as an opera.
