Over at Penguin bar in Makati, it’s going to be a rocking Friday night as Doki, Blue Jean Junkies, Lady High takes you to high places with their music. On Saturday, January 15, it’s going to be just as fun as the Three Headed Dog Tour happens.
At Obsidian Bar in Makati, we’ve got a power-packed weekend as Mayonnaise, Circa, Onse, Pitik, Silent Sanctuary, Danita, Neverdie, and Banat Boys play on January 14.
Pumping up the volume on the next night, January 15 is a Rakista productions featuring Jam Tayo 24! New Year’s Blast with The Chonkeys, Bloodshedd, Nyctinasty, Alex in Wonderland, Mr. Bones and the Boneyard Circus, Giniling Festival, Shots of Red Mist, Penguin627, Thanatopsia, G.O.D., Subculture, Vie and Ulirat.
Tickets are P100 each with two free Red Horse beer. Sunday night is well and alive as well as Rockenkoy productions take the helm.
Route 196 in Katipunan isn’t one to be left behind as they present Live at Route 196: Johnoy and Kakoy on January 14, Friday.
It’s a wild and crazy Friday night over at Saguijo, as Brgy. Tibay takes over with the best Brgy. Tibay bands. And on the next night, it’s Terno Inferno invading the place featuring The Charmes, Encounters with a Yeti, Hidden Nikki, Musical O, Not Another Boy Band, Populardays, Sleepwalk Circus, Up Dharma Down, and The Royal.
B-Side in Makati has some pretty cool events lined up too, starting with Dubplate Manila at B-Side happening on January 14, featuring dubstep artistsDon P, Mulan, Caliph8, Malek, Red-I, Soulflower, Timmy C (New Zealand), and special guest Daedelus. Door charge is P200. On Saturday, the Vice Ink TV Series Launch happens featuring DJ Xombie, Karl Roy, Mayonnaise, Gaijin, Pitik, and Cosmic Love. T-shirts and gift certificates also will be given away.
And on Sunday, it’s a chillout session happening, as Irie Sunday happens featuring Rob Smith also known as RSD with live performances by Count Kutu & The Balmers, and Milagros Dancehall Collective. Also featuring Red-I, Don P, Takashi, Tatsuki, Papadom, and Greedy P.
Hiphop fans know where it’s at on Friday as Flip Friday happens at Bela Bar in San Juanfeaturing LDP, Gene Roca, SinCity, J. Russ, and Rex D. Entrance fee is P250 inclusive of one beer and a copy of LDP's The Project album. For those who already have a copy of the album, bring it and have it marked to serve as your claim stub when the next LDP album called Side Project comes out. Other items like caps and shirts from LDP to be given away.
Blood Type A Launch with Love Me Butch
Think rock radio is dead? Think again as Blood Type A, the weekly rock show featuring Asian artists is launched on January 14, at Teatrino, Greenhills, San Juan.
The event will feature Malaysia’s pride Love Me Butch, together with our very own Typecast, Salamin, Tonight We Sleep, Subscapular, Jejaview, Malay, and The Butchercons.
Entrance fee is P450 only by 8 p.m. Early birds will get P100 off.
