ROARRR!!! Celebrate 2011, the Thomasian way!
Notice how every Thomasian is in the mood to party? That's 'cause UST celebrates its 400th anniversary this year!

If you're from the university (actually even if you're from another school you're still invited), then check out this party being held tonight January 28, at Area 05, 3rd floor of Bellagio Square Tomas Morato QC (the old Ratsky)

Entrance is free for the 1st 100 Thomasians and all CSC/ SOCC and University wide officers (2010-2011). For those who can't be bothered to come early, here's how much to shell out:

150 pesos (with 1 complimentary drink for UST students)

250 pesos (with 2 complimentary drinks for UST Alumni)

300 pesos is the regular door charge.

2011 Philippine International Guitar Festival and Competition
From January 27 to January 30, 2011, local guitar organization, The Guitar Friends together with The Cultural Center of the Philippines bring you the 2011 Philippine International Guitar Festival and Competition.

The 3-day event will be held at the CCP  Little Theater, Cultural Center of the Philippines, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

If you’re crazy about this fabled string instrument, you wouldn’t want to miss this festival. It will feature concerts, masterclasses, workshops and lectures, festival guitar orchestra, competition and display of world class guitars.

Some of the most talented guitar players around the world will be showcasing their skills such as Alex Garrobe from Spain, Tomonori Arai from Japan, Leon Koudelak from Czech Republic, and Woratep Rattana-umpawan from Thailand. Also performing are the UP Guitar Orchestra, the UST Guitar Ensemble, the Metropolitan Guitar Ensemble and many more.

Cellar Door Series: Trimbach at Wine Depot
True wine lovers wouldn’t want to miss Wine Depot's Trimbach Cellar Door event with representative and wine writer Joel Payne on January 28, 6:30 to 7:30 pm. at Wine Depot, Nicanor Garcia St. (formerly Reposo), Bel Air 2, Makati City. The event will feature Joel Payne, a noted wine writer, and a variety of world-class Trimbach wines.

Ticket prices are P500 for Wine Depot Toast Club Members and P750 for non-members. Only 20 tickets will be sold.

Aussie Café & Resto Celebrates Australia Day
In celebration of Australia Day (January 26), Aussie Café & Resto, located Filinvest Avenue, Alabang, Muntinlupa City will be having a week-long Aussie-style festival from January 24 to 31.

For only P1,850, have a family super meal of Mango Chicken Salad, Chef Bernie’s Mouthwatering Ribs (to share serving), Pasta (choice of Boscaiola or Pomodoro), and choice of two side dishes (Aussie Chips, Baked Potatoes, Rice, or Grilled Corn).
