Rain in the afternoons marks the end of the summer season. But don't let that stop you from going out. The first weekend of June is here, and here are the top 5 things to do.
1. Watch: Mutant mayhem
James Mcavoy, January Jones and Kevin Bacon star in this superhero movie that we know you're all familiar with.
We're talking about X-Men: First Class. Whereas in the last X-Men film, we saw Phoenix wreaking havoc, this one takes us back to the birth of the X-Men, in the 60s where two young mutants are given the task to form a school for "gifted individuals."
The two's different ideologies though create a rift between them, resulting in, well, awesome mutant mayhem.
2. Eat: Street Food and Regional Dishes Festival
Basix All-Day Dining Restaurant in Dusat Thani Manila invites you to Pinoy Street Delights and Regional Cuisines where your favorite local street food will be served for lunch and dinner buffet.
Fishballs, kikiam, isaw will be served in that special way that only Basix can do. Along with those, regional delights include Pampanga's Callos, Sinangag sa Taba ng Talangka, Cebu's Humpa, Bacolod's Pata, and Bulacan's Paksiw na Hito sa Luyang Dilaw.
For your sweet tooth, a variety of local desserts will be on display too including Halaya Ube, Maja Mais and Puto Bumbong.
It's definitely going to make you proud to be Pinoy. Price is 1,250 pesos per person for lunch, and 1,399 pesos for dinner. Includes free-flowing servings of chilled juices, soft drinks, local beer, sparkling red and white wines. For reservations please call 2388888
3. Indulge: Blast from the past
The Venice Piazza in McKinley Hills in Taguig will be having an 80s Nostalgia night on all Saturdays of June! Check it out and listen to your favorite hits from the 80s as rendered by the Mulatto band.

4. For folks in SG: Pinoy Pride
