Morrissey, an anti-apocalypse gig, and all the cheese you could eat!

May 7 will forever be known (to us, at least) as the Day the Philippines Stood Still after that little fight between Raymart Santiago, Claudine Barretto, and TV host Mon Tulfo. Quite an eventful Monday, wasn't it? The week had barely begun, and we were already flooded with headlines: Mayweather Beats Cotto, Beastie Boy Adam Yauch Succumbs to Cancer, and B-Meg Wins PBA Commissioner Cup, just to name a few.

"We've only just begun..." goes The Carpenters' song.

As was our week.

With the first round of the Playoffs nearly done, we took a second look at our predictions, and see what we got right and wrong. Doing it right were our Best Babes of the Week led by Maui Taylor who will be in the South Korean film The Taste of Money, showing on May 15 (in South Korea, at least).

Likewise, we raised our thumb of approval to these: Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's latest offering, Dark Shadows, Diablo 3, and these scintillating smartphones. Also, May is apparently Masturbation Month, we found out. To which we raised not only one thumb, but two!

Looking ahead, we've got Mother's Day coming up. To help you, we suggested gifts you can give dear mom...and also, a list of why it would be cool to date a "yummy mummy."

Know what else is just around the corner? Morrissey! The former Smiths' vocalist comes to town on Sunday, so we prepared a charming 5-song primer--or at least, five songs we wish he would play in his concert.

That and these other happenings over the weekend has us pumped. Check out the gallery below.
