With the elections all but over, it’s time to celebrate! That’s right, no more liquor bans to stop us from drinking on a Sunday, at least until the next elections roll by. Here’s what you can catch on the first post-elections weekend.
Catch the duo of Kakoy and Johnoy over at Route 196 on Friday, May 14 to start the weekend right.
On Saturday, the bar plays host to Cubism, bringing a great lineup of musicmakers including Johnoy Danao, Julien Drolon, Maya’s Anklet, Pale Yellow Light, The Ronnies and TOI.
Over at Saguijo, it’s a Barangay Tibay productions shaking and waking the neighborhood up on May 14.
The next night, it’s Terno Inferno’s turn as they bring you Sleepwalk Circus, Musical O, The Charms, Encounters with a Yet, Not Another Boy Band, and Up Dharma Down.
Dim the lights, pump up the strobes, and party the night away at LAX in Pasay where Blackout Fridays happens. It’s more than just your usual Blackout Fridays though, as this one serves as the Then & Now Massive Musical Festivay Pre-Party as well!
Party with the hottest crowd and music by DJ Buzz, DJ X-Factor and MC Pikaso. PM Dawn and V-Factory will also be performing live at the venue while TQ hosts.

Miami Sessions at Tabu
Miami Sessions at Tabu is the closest experience you’ll get to a real Miami-style party other than going to the state itself. Salsa is the highlight of the night with free Salsa lessons at 10 PM from Salsa Fanatics Entertainment.

And the music doesn’t end there (boy there sure are a lot of concerts this weekend, yes?) This one proves to be the biggest. The Then and Now Massive Music Festival 2010 happens on May 15, 2010 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
The “massive” in the title isn’t all just for show as the event will be featuring an all-star lineup including JoJo, SWV, Diana King, Frankie J., Baby Bash and PM Dawn. We know what you’re thinking. “Holy sh*t, that’s a lot!” So go get your tickets now!
