It’s a payday weekend everyone, which is all the more reason for us to go strolling around the metro. Our first stop:
32nd Manila International Book Fair
The SMX Convention Center Exhibit Halls 1-4 in Pasay City will be host to the 32nd Manila International Book Fair from September 14 to 18.

What to expect? Books, books, and more books, duh. If you feel a need to rekindle your relationship with books, then this is the place to start.

Food Trip! Manila's Biggest Food Fest
From September 16 to 19, Food Trip! Manila's Biggest Food Fest happens at Manila Ocean Park open grounds where Filipino dishes, grilled entrees, special delicacies, drinks, lechon, street food, and more from various exhibitors will be available.

It’s not just the food that makes the event fun though, the festivities will also be marked by marching bands, ati-atihan folk dances, and the Higantes parade along with traditional Filipino games and activities like the pabitin, palayok, and agawang buko.

The Sleepyheads 3rd Album Launch
Join indie act The Sleepyheads as they launch their third album Avante Garage: Wrecknroll on September 17 at Route 196, Katipunan, Quezon City. The gig also features Outerhope, The Harutas, Archaster, Shoulder State.

Wine & Spirits 2011
Happening on September 16, 7 p.m. at the Mandarin Ballroom, Mandarin Oriental Manila in Makati is Wine & Spirits 2011. Have a taste of class at this one-night only wine and food festival featuring the country's top wine dealers and their premium collections
