Keith Martin, once dubbed as the world's fattest man at 980 pounds, died from pneumonia last week. He was 44.
Before all this, Keith had been bed-bound, unable to walk, and at one point had not left his house for over a decade. According to reports, he was consuming 20,000 calories a day—almost 10 times the recommended amount for an adult. He was chowing down six fried eggs, a box of pizza, kebabs, Chinese food, a couple of Big Macs, six pints of coffee, and two liters of soda, all in a span of a day. Good heavens!

It's worth noting however that months prior to his death, Keith had undergone a successful gastric sleeve surgery, which removed three quarters of his stomach. He even lost 350 pounds before the surgery by sticking to a 2,000-calorie daily diet. It appeared the man was well on his way to getting better. And then this happened.
