Burger King has pitched a neat little idea to McDonald's: that the two fastfood giants come together to make an epic-sounding burger called the "McWhopper." On Wednesday, U.S. time, Burger King took out a full-page advertisement in the Chicago Tribune and The New York Times calling for the collab. In the ad titled "An Open Letter From Burger King To McDonald's," they called for a one-day "cease-fire" so they could make the lovechild of their signature burgers—the Big Mac and the Whopper. Here's the letter:
The burgers would be grilled for the benefit of Peace One Day, a non-profit organization campaigning to raise awareness for United Nations' Peace Day on September 21, and would be sold at a pop-up store in Atlanta.
They even made a video for it (below) and an amusing interactive website detailing the partnership.

McDonald's answer? NO. They rejected them through, gasp, Facebook. (DO YOU HATE PEACE, MCDONALD'S?!)
