Actor Paulo Avelino's online streaming career didn't start as expected, after he experienced sexual harassment from Twitch users while playing the multiplayer battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.
In what could be described as another form of cyberbullying, the Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral lead was pelted with indecent comments over the course of his live broadcast, according to a series of screenshots shared by a certain Pio Fronda on Twitter.
Look at these messages and try not to lose faith in humanity:
The situation turned too ugly that an admin had to step in, posting this multiple times: "Guys, favor. Please show some respect for our poging streamer, can we do that? Just try to avoid saying inappropriate words or things in his channel. Thank you so much!"
Avelino, who has 3,604 followers and 49 videos on the streaming platform as of writing, apparently started producing gaming content early last month. Maybe he's experienced these kinds of users in previous broadcasts, but this is the first time it was brought out in the open.
The news comes on the day a local social experiment exposing sexual harassers went viral and several women accused Hollywood luminary Morgan Freeman of the same thing. Oh, humanity!
