In a report by GMA News, the feud apparently started when Go had enough of the senator’s continuous criticisms about the former’s political plans and asked Trillanes to face him one-on-one. Trillanes answered back, saying that he’s indeed willing to go one-on-one—in signing bank secrecy papers, that is—with Go and President Rodrigo Duterte.
Meanwhile, Go’s version of the one-on-one challenge, turns out, is a pen-stabbing match.
Earlier today, Go clarified his statements, saying that we shouldn’t take the “saksakan ng ballpen” literally and seriously.
Nevertheless, the bickering is still trending all over social media since yesterday. Here’s what netizens think of the issue:
Some sided with Go
Others are #TeamTrillanes
While most find the idea absurd (but are obviously entertained)
