Vee is an interesting last name. Where are you from originally?
Thanks! “Vee” is actually short for my real last name. I’m originally from San Francisco, California born and raised—but I’m also Filipino-American.
And we hear you’ve been modeling for close to ten years now, you’re not new to this at all...
Yes, I’ve been modeling since I got out of high school, and it’s been nothing but amazing blessings so far! Lately, fashion photo shoots are what I enjoy doing most because the elegance is so much sexier to me now. Although FHM Philippines is my first international magazine feature. It has been on my bucket list for the longest time, so I’m proud to have done it. Such a blessing!
You’re 5’2”. Was your height ever an issue?
Actually, sometimes I wish I were taller! Ha ha! No one has actually tried discouraging me from becoming a model because I’m 5’2”—it just restrained me from doing work that required a certain height that they were looking for. I believe us shorter girls have way more fun anyways. Ha ha!
How are petite girls more fun?
We’re easier to handle (winks). And the best things come in small packages!
Did you enjoy your visit to the Philippines, by the way?
I love it here! They weren’t playing when they said “It’s more fun in the Philippines!” I wouldn’t mind moving out here: the weather, food, beautiful places and the vibes are amazing! Even after being here for a whole month I never wanted to leave. I also got to hang out with my family and enjoy a good vacation. FHM was actually the only work I did while I was here. I’ve been working so hard back home that I thought it was time for some good R&R.
