Can you tell us about your interesting name?
My full name is Maria Auralou Centeno. Auralou came from my dad’s best friend from college, who also became a close friend of my mother. All of us siblings, our names come from my dad’s barkada.
Since your name is Auralou, how would you personally describe your aura?
First impression sa akin ng mga tao is mataray daw ako. But once you get to know me, I’m kalog. Mahiyain talaga ako but if we get close sobrang ingay ko. Yung aura ko…I can’t really explain it.
We saw your tattoos earlier during the shoot.
Yes, the first one on my rib reads “Never failure, always a lesson”. I get my tattoos based on my experiences. Yung mga pagkakamali ko, I always take it as a lesson. I don’t dwell on the negative and always focus on the positive.
Can you share some more optimistic advice with us?
Of course you always have to have prayers in your daily life. At wag mo rin iisipin yung tingin ng ibang tao sa iyo. People will always try to bring you down with negative comments. The trick is not to mind them.
Amen. We couldn’t help but notice a guy’s name tattooed on your back as well. What would it take to get our names tattooed on your body?
I easily fall in love. So this particular tattoo of a guy’s name is actually a lesson, ha ha! We got matching name tattoos three months into the relationship. We were madly in love. He was the ideal guy but as time went on I started learning more about him.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve done in the name of love?
I left my family for the guy. I lived with him, with his parents.
So what does your ideal man need to be for you to fall madly in love?
Physically he needs to be tall. I want him fair-skinned. I really like the boy-next-door type. He also needs to be sweet. He has to make me feel that he’ll be there no matter what happens.
You were one of the lucky ones to be picked for our Tanduay calendar shoot. How does it feel to be part of the calendar?
That was my first time to do a sexy shoot. I was nervous, but when I saw the other people I was going to be working with I got into it. It was fun.
Aside from modeling, what else takes up your time?
I’m a brand ambassador for Marlboro and I also do events like car shows and ushering. When there’s no work I try and help my dad at his clinic.
What kind of clinic is it?
It’s a gynecology clinic. My dad is an OB-GYN so he has a lying-in clinic for women to give birth. It’s a simple outpatient clinic.
Working for FHM is not the dream job, your dad has the dream job!
Ha ha! Actually lagi niyang sinasabi na sawang-sawa na raw siya! Ha ha! Iba-ibang klase na raw kasi yung nakita niya.
