We heard that prior to becoming a One FC ring girl, you knew very little about MMA. Being ringside for the first time—was that a good or a bad thing?
I wouldn’t say it was a bad thing. I’ve had some of the pros teach me a thing or two! And my very first time being ringside was incredible because I was able to see the fights up close—ever since then I’ve really enjoyed watching ONE FC MMA.
What perks about being a ring girl do you enjoy most?
There are so many! I get to meet all the fighters personally. I also really enjoy traveling—which is great as each event is held in a different country in Asia. I get to travel wherever the events are held. And of course, working with the two Japanese beauties Maya and Mila!
Beauties like you. How much modeling are you doing on the side?
Well, it’s been just over a year since I’ve made my debut, and my modeling projects are really starting to come in now—I also just did a feature with FHM Singapore. I’ve found that I’ve had to fly out of Australia almost every two weeks now so I can work on these projects.
Besides MMA, is there a sport/team that you support or enjoy watching?
Yeah, in Western Australia football is really popular, but it’s not the kind of football you guys have here—we call that soccer. We have our own league called the Australian Football League. "Aussie rules footy." Ha ha ha!
What do you do besides watch football when you’re back in Perth?
When I’m back home, I have a full time day job at a large oil and gas company—which takes up most of my time.
An oil and gas company. Does that surprise a lot of people?
It does surprise quite a few people. What surprises them more is when I tell them I’ve completed a degree in Commerce and I majored in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. I guess I should just take the surprise as a compliment. Ha ha ha!
