What made you decide to give FHM a go?
I love FHM! It shows the beautiful women of the Philippines, how can I not want to be a part of that?

Well, you are one of the beautiful women of the Philippines…
No, it’s just more of me perv-ing on them, ha ha! I wanted to do something different, something that would make me push myself, and this was really stepping out of my comfort zone. Because I don’t even go to the pool without my boardshorts on.

You were really chill. Have you always been so laidback?
Growing up, we moved around a lot. We were in England for three years, Vietnam for three years… I was constantly adjusting, making new friends. I think I got used to being comfortable around people.

You’re also a wakeboarder. How did you get into it?
My ex-girlfriend in Singapore introduced me to it. I stopped for a few years, but now I’m back. I like that it’s an extreme sport. You will never actually know what it feels like until you get the balls to do it yourself. I also like the intensity.

Speaking of intense, you’re all tatted up. Which one’s your favorite?
I think the one on my arm has the most meaning, the one with the writing. What it means is that I believe in making your own fate, and that the path you choose is the one that is meant to be for you. If you want something, you go get it. If it’s not meant to be, other paths will open up.

One path you obviously took was up the driveway to Kuya’s house. What made you join Pinoy Big Brother?
My mom pushed me. I also wanted to show the Philippines a different side to lesbians. You don’t have to be a dyke! You can have boobs; show them! Be proud of who you are! I was so sick of people looking at me like they could fit me into a stereotype or a certain genre. I wanted to make a point—that you could be who you are and that’s okay.

General consensus is that lesbians are hot—present company included. Are you down with being a poster girl for that notion?
Yes! Because lesbians are hot! Ha ha! Any type of love is hot; it doesn’t matter—gay, straight, whatever. A person finds something in another person and they help them get over the bad stuff—how can that be a bad thing?
