A few things surprised us today: first, your shyness, and second, your hidden talent in doing this.
Ha ha! It’s actually my first sexy shoot, and I was not comfortable at first kaya tahimik lang ako. I didn’t mean
to seem snobbish, though.

Were you having second thoughts about going through with it?
I was raised in a conservative household. My mother used to make me wear pajamas at home—very covered. I didn’t know how it would turn out, I was warming myself up.

Did you set any personal limitations?
I am very comfortable with my skin and my exotic features—my dad is half-Indian, half-Jordanian Jew, and my mother is Filipina—so it didn’t bother me to show those off. I think those are my assets.

That explains your foreign features. Do you think that affects how people initially perceive you?
Oh yeah, definitely. I am not sure why, but it seems that I intimidate a lot of people. Hindi ako palangiti, but that doesn’t mean I’m masungit. I actually like rock music and going on adventures.

This shoot would be another adventure ticked off then?
Iniisip ko na lang na dalawa lang kami ni Shaira [Luna, photographer]. Plus it helped that you guys put me in a kitchen because I’m really into cooking.

Would things have gone differently if we shot it, say, in the bedroom?
Mas kakabahan ako dun, pero that’s another side of me that might surprise you, ha ha!
