What do you like about our country?
It’s the same as Thailand. We first stayed here for two years and then we went back to Thailand for six months and then here again for four to five months. I like the parties, also Boracay. The people are also same here, like in Thailand. They’re friendly.
If you had to pick something you didn’t like about the Philippines what would it be?
I don’t know. Everything is the same. In Thailand, traffic is bad as well. Everybody says that it’s scary here but I don’t feel like that.
Really? Where in Thailand are you from?
I’m from Sakon Nakhon, a province in Thailand. My home is in the jungle—a lot of mountains and stuff, so it’s not a big city. It’s really quiet.
We’re not exactly familiar with Thai women, especially Thai mothers. Should we be worried about what your mom might think when she sees these photos?
They’re okay. We have a different Mother’s Day in Thailand, [around] August 12, I think. [But] she has seen my photos before. My mom thinks young so I can talk to her about everything. She’s like my friend.
You came from a province in a different country and now you’re in a big, busy city and you’re being photographed and all, what’s it like?
I love it!
We take it that you always wanted to be a model?
Yes! When I was 10 or 12, I used to talk to myself in the mirror and pretend that I’m a model. I used to be a hairdresser. I always looked at magazines and would think, “Wow, that’s nice, I want to do that”—and now here I am!
We noticed that you have a lot of tattoos. Care to share what they mean?
I have the same tattoo [on my leg] as my husband. He has my name and I have his. [The one on my hand] says ‘angel’ in Chinese.
What do you do most days when you’re not at a photo shoot looking glamorous?
Most of the time I stay with my husband and go out with him and his friends. He’s an architect. He retired for a while but he might go back to building houses again in the UK. [Sometimes] I travel, I’ve been to Hong Kong and Malaysia, but I really like modeling. I want to be in pictures and look good.
